Money for Madagascar has been running for twenty
years. Now you can run (walk, swim, sail, or what you will) for us and support
the excellent work that we are funding in one of the world’s poorest countries.
You can help in one of three ways:
Send us your photos and we will display as many of them as possible on this web page.
Don’t forget to check this page, which will be updated regularly, to see the cumulative
distance covered and the amount raised.
Here are some ideas:
Get people to sponsor you to:
- Use your skateboard / rollerblades to clock up the kilometres
- Take someone’s dog for a walk (get the dog sponsored too!)
- Cycle several laps round the local football ground
- Climb the Munroes
- Walk the Beacons / the Malverns / Offa’s Dyke / round a lake / Hadrian’s Wall
- Canoe from Hereford to Symond’s Yat
- Run five times round your school field
- Skip a mile (a mile =1.6km) with a group of friends
There will be three prizes :
- for the greatest distance
- for the most money raised
- for the most original project
and certificates for all who raise £25 or over for those in need in Madagascar where
“A LITTLE GOES A LONG, LONG WAY”

One of our supporters, Peter Monteath, cycled 90 gruelling miles (144 km) from Warlingham to Battle and back and raised £120. Congratulations Peter!
Now here’s an original one :
Some supporters from Devon are keen tennis players so they measured the distance that they walked/ran from one end of the tennis court to the other over a period of three months and it came to 41km – amazing !
