Money for Madagascar is a Malagasy-led organisation, which works with the people of Madagascar and Malagasy organisations to define the challenges which face them, and the solutions to them. We provide platforms – education, training, care and finance – from which those men, women and children can lift themselves from poverty, escape hunger and protect and expand the vital, vibrant, Malagasy wilderness.<\/h4>\n

Senior Leadership<\/span><\/h2>\n

Lova Rasoalinoro – CEO<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Lova is committed to serving her country by using her knowledge and skills to enable Malagasy people to work their way out of poverty in ways that do not harm the natural environment. Lova is an expert in community-based environment and development projects. Prior to joining MfM in 2019, she worked for over 10 years on the design, implementation and evaluation of community-based natural resource management projects in Madagascar on behalf of various international organisations. For the past 5 years, she has used her strong analytical and managerial skills to truly serve vulnerable Malagasy communities, whose interests are central to all MfM\u2019s work. She holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Environment and International Development from the University of East Anglia, for which she won a prestigious Chevening scholarship. She has a background in agronomy with an M. Phil (equivalent) in Forestry and Rural Development from the University of Antananarivo.<\/h4>\n

Irenee Rajoana-Horne – Strategic Partnerships, Impact and Legacy Lead<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Irenee is a Malagasy-British dual national, who has been working for grassroots development and conservation in Madagascar since 1996. She joined Money for Madagascar in 2008, after 12 years managing a project in Madagascar.<\/h4>\n

In 2015, she became CEO of MfM, and in 2016, she received a \u2018Chevalier de l\u2019Ordre National\u2019 (Knighthood) from the Malagasy Government. In 2023, she welcomed Lova to join her as co-CEO. In Autumn 2024, Iren\u00e9e began an internal secondment from her CEO role to focus on Impact, Legacy, and Strategic Partnerships in the lead-up to MfM\u2019s 40th anniversary in 2026.<\/h4>\n

Portfolio and Project Managers<\/span><\/h2>\n

Riana Hary Andrisoa – <\/b>Protection and Empowerment of Vulnerable Children, & MEAL<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/h4>\n

Riana has a PhD in Forestry, with research focused on the quantification of biomass in Madagascar\u2019s tropical rainforests – crucial for sustainable natural resource management and climate change mitigation. She has a Master\u2019s in Forestry, Environment and Development, and an Engineering Degree in Forestry.<\/h4>\n

Before joining MfM in 2020, she worked on research and development programmes in climate change mitigation and the sustainable management of forests and natural resources. Her roles in development project coordination strengthened strategic planning and operational management.<\/h4>\n

Riana played a key role in the development, management, and implementation of a diverse programme portfolio. She works closely with all MfM\u2019s partners to strengthen their capacities in programme management, monitoring, and learning, guiding them towards greater empowerment, and as our MEAL Lead, she contributes to the improvement and measurement of our work, with a strong focus on learning and effectiveness.<\/h4>\n

Christiane Randrianarisoa \u2013 Resilient <\/b>Forests and Livelihoods Portfolio Manager, Network and Resource Mobiliser<\/b><\/h4>\n

\"\"Committed to farmers’ well-being in remote areas and to protecting Madagascar\u2019s natural heritage, Christiane is an agronomist who has dedicated her career to sustainable rural development, and has more than 30 years of experience managing programmes and projects to improve rural livelihoods. She has worked across various sectors, including environment, health, nutrition, livelihoods, organisational development and community facilitation. Christiane is a charismatic, energetic \u2018people person\u2019 who fosters collaboration and engagement. She is highly experienced in facilitating effective workshops and training sessions for local communities and organisations. She has worked closely with communities, NGOs and researchers to develop MfM\u2019s innovative RFL programme, putting people and their livelihoods at the heart of efforts to preserve Madagascar\u2019s magnificent ecosystems for future generations.<\/h4>\n

Donald Tsaramanana – Education for Life Portfolio Manager<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"An education policy and sustainable development expert with over 10 years of professional experience, Raymond Donald Tsaramanana (Donald) is an expert in education system modernisation, teacher capacity building, and digital pedagogical innovation. He has an advanced degree in Forestry-Environmental Development from the Ecole Sup\u00e9rieure des Sciences Agronimiques and a CAPEN teaching certification in Natural Sciences from the Ecole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure.<\/h4>\n

Donald combines academic excellence with practical field implementation. He has led major education reforms such as curriculum redesign for initial teacher training with INFP-Ministry of National Education and implementing EdTech solutions for MfM. As former Regional Director of Education for Atsimo Atsinanana, he successfully administered a network of over 1,000 primary and secondary schools while establishing strategic partnerships with national and international organisations. As a recognised authority on Open Educational Resources and digital learning platforms, he has developed innovative distance learning tools, and his multidisciplinary competencies in public sector management, geospatial information systems, and programme leadership enable him to deliver comprehensive solutions to Madagascar’s educational challenges.<\/h4>\n

Manuel\u00e0 Andrianjanaka – Project Manager, Solar United Madagascar-MfM<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Manuel\u00e0 has built her professional and personal career around a constant commitment to community development and well-being. She has worked on various projects related to education, health, water, hygiene and sanitation, good governance and gender support, as well as local capacity building initiatives. This has enabled her to acquire expertise in project management, coordination with partners and monitoring of field activities.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Convinced that every action, no matter how modest, can have a lasting impact when carried out with rigour and attention to detail, she puts her skills to work in programmes that promote community empowerment, equitable access to essential services and inclusive development. She is driven by values of solidarity and social responsibility, and is particularly keen to improve access to quality education for Malagasy children and support initiatives that promote a sustainable future.<\/h4>\n

Fundraising and Communications<\/span><\/h2>\n

Tabitha Middleton – Fundraising Manager<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Tabitha is passionate about social justice and protecting the natural world. She has a background in community-based natural resource management and Action Research. Before joining MfM in 2015, she worked on projects in countries across the Global South for universities and research institutions including Reading, Cranfield, Oxford and Silsoe Research Institute.<\/h4>\n

During her time with MfM, Tabitha has supported MfM\u2019s partners with programme development, fundraising, monitoring, evaluation and learning. She has an MSc in Land Resource Management from Cranfield University and a degree in French with International Development from the University of Sussex.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

Rory O’Keeffe – Communications and Reporting Partner<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Rory has a background in journalism, as well as 15 years’ experience in humanitarian and development communications, advocacy and analysis. Focused on human experience and challenges, including those caused by the looming climate catastrophe, he has dedicated himself to working with people to help provide them with platforms from which their voices, their experiences and their aspirations can be heard, recognised and acted upon, and relating those experiences to policy and global movements.<\/h4>\n

He has worked in conflict- and immediate post-conflict zones including Libya, Sudan, DRC and Syria, and on development and environmental programmes and projects in Nepal, East Africa, Central America and South Asia. With MfM, he is working to highlight Malagasy people’s experience, the country’s situation, the vital nature of its ecosystem and the challenges each faces.<\/h4>\n

Marie Anna Nirina Harimanoa – Communications Officer<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Anna is a specialist in communication and journalism. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism from the \u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure Sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e du Vakinankaratra (ESSVA) in 2006.<\/h4>\n

She worked for 18 years with the MIARINTSOA Association, which represented Money for Madagascar (MfM) in Madagascar from 2016 to 2024, and has a wealth of experience in implementing development projects, particularly in rural Madagascar. She was Communications Manager, Trainer and Socio-Organiser with the MIARINTSOA Association, then Project Manager with the same organisation, before joining Money for Madagascar team Communications Officer in 2024.<\/h4>\n

Anna gives the best of herself to enhance the impact of all the donors and partners who give their help to MfM in its actions to promote development in Madagascar.<\/h4>\n

Finance and Administration<\/span><\/h2>\n

Haja Randriamiharisoa – Finance Manager<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/h4>\n

Haja is an experienced professional in administrative and financial management, driven by a strong commitment to contributing to Madagascar\u2019s development through rigorous governance and efficient resource management. With more than 20 years of experience, he has led projects funded by partners such as UNICEF, WaterAid, CARE, UNFPA, IPPF, and Money for Madagascar. Since 2006, he has collaborated with the Association Miarintsoa and later provided support to MfM\u2019s implementing partners as a part-time consultant.<\/h4>\n

He joined MfM in 2023 as a full-time consultant, becoming a staff member in 2024. Since then, he has applied his expertise in internal control, budgeting, financial reporting, and partner support to strengthen the organisation\u2019s impact and transparency. Haja holds a Master\u2019s degree in Economic and Management Studies, with a specialisation in Financial and Accounting Studies. He has led several finance teams and worked with national and international auditors, bringing precision, expertise, and dedication to every assignment.<\/h4>\n

Nduka Owete – Finance Officer<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Nduka is a finance and programme management professional with more than seven years of experience in the banking and non-profit sectors. He holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He has managed and supported various donor-funded projects, including from WFP, FAO, SIDA, and the EU, gaining expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, grant compliance, procurement, and partner management. Nduka previously worked with Christian Aid UK\/Nigeria, overseeing finance operations across multiple regions. As a Finance Officer at MfM, he is committed to using his financial skills to support the organisation\u2019s goals and drive meaningful impact.<\/h4>\n

Daniel Adrianirianjaka – Accountant<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Daniel graduated in Water, Sanitation and Rural Engineering in 2013, and embarked on a career dedicated to the development and management of essential resources.<\/h4>\n

He began as a technician with the Miarintsoa Association, and after three years became Assistant to the Association\u2019s Financial Manager, developing expertise in financial management and administration, in which he simultaneously gained postgraduate university qualifications.<\/h4>\n

Since October 2024, he has been MfM\u2019s Accountant, where he has further progressed technically and personally.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

Henintsoa Raharinantenaina – Administrative and Logistic Assistant<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Henintsoa is a graduate in in Agricultural Machinery and Mechanisation from the Centre for Training and Manufacturing of Agricultural Machinery and Mechanisation Applications (CFFAMMA) in Antsirabe, and is passionate about sustainable agricultural development.<\/h4>\n

He began his working life on an agricultural project, first in technical positions, before becoming an administrative and logistics assistant, gaining experience in projects\u2019 implementation and their organisational management.<\/h4>\n

He has completed training in Agroecology, Agroforestry, Community Savings Groups, and Financial Education, and is now a trainer and creator of target groups in the projects he contributes to.<\/h4>\n

Representation<\/span><\/h2>\n

William Randriamiarina – Country Representative<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/strong>A qualified accountant with a degree in management, William has dedicated his financial, managerial and entrepreneurial skills to supporting thousands of the most vulnerable people in his country to raise themselves out of poverty. With over 35 years experience in managing development projects, with special expertise in the WASH sector, William\u2019s wisdom and experience have greatly benefitted MfM\u2019s work.\u00a0 He is the co-founder and CEO of Malagasy NGO Miarintsoa Association (AMI), which has hosted MfM\u2019s Madagascar team, enabling them to develop and grow as MfM transitions to full Malagasy registration.<\/h4>\n
