At MfM, we empower and enable Malagasy organisations, Malagasy communities and Malagasy men, women and children to examine, define, and respond to the challenges they face.<\/h4>\n

We provide training, advice, equipment and micro-finance so they can achieve the outcomes they know are most important \u2013 including lifting themselves from poverty and hunger, and protecting and expanding the vibrant, vital Malagasy rainforest.<\/h4>\n

And we help children, young people and adults make the most of their potential, including by helping children who have \u2018fallen out\u2019 of the system, and by making a high standard of education accessible and enjoyable for all.<\/h4>\n

Our programmes are designed and managed by Malagasy partner organisations and Malagasy communities, with which we have lasting relationships. We work with them, provide funding and monitor the results.<\/h4>\n

We promote sustainable technology, sustainable agriculture and the sustainable use of resources, and make sure our operating costs are low to ensure the maximum possible amount of our income goes to Malagasy people and communities.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

We and our partner organisations work in the following areas:<\/h4>\n

Protecting and Enabling Vulnerable Children<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/h4>\n

We and our partners work to care for and reconnect children and young people who have ‘fallen out’ of the system. We provide shelter for young people who have nowhere to live, provide healthcare mental and physical, including dental care) food, clean water and the opportunity to (re-) enter education, as well as vocational training.<\/h4>\n
