Double Your Impact with Earth Raise 2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wednesday 22nd<\/sup> \u2013 Wednesday 29th<\/sup> April 2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n

From 12pm (UK time) on Wednesday 22nd<\/sup>, to 12pm on Wednesday 29th<\/sup> April, we will be raising money through the Green Match Fund \u2013 this year known as Earth Raise. so Malagasy communities can improve their lives and livelihoods, and become stewards of Madagascar\u2019s biodiversity.<\/em><\/h4>\n

It is an opportunity for us to unite to preserve and restore the vital, vibrant Malagasy ecosystems we all depend on, while supporting people as they develop and deliver solutions to the challenges they face.<\/h4>\n

It is also an opportunity for you to double your impact:<\/strong> everything you donate during the week-long Earth Raise 2026 campaign will be doubled in value. If you donate \u00a320, that will mean \u00a340 goes to Malagasy communities and Malagasy wild spaces.<\/h4>\n

Madagascar is a critical biodiversity hotspot. Ninety per cent of its species are found nowhere else on Earth. Yet this unique heritage is disappearing fast: the country ranks among the top four globally for deforestation, driven by severe rural poverty.<\/h4>\n

More than 80 per cent of rural Malagasy households live on less than \u00a31.50 a day. This makes access to food a serious challenge. Families near forests, in need of income and food, clear land for farming, timber, and fuel\u2014putting ecosystems at risk.<\/h4>\n

One bitter irony is that the soil freed in this way swiftly loses fertility if intensively farmed, and, exposed to the elements, is washed away by increasingly intense rains, driven by climate change.<\/h4>\n

This vicious cycle can only be ended if we take action to reduce poverty and protect Madagascar\u2019s wild spaces.<\/h4>\n

Our Earth Raise 2026 campaign is targeting \u00a360,000 \u2013 of which \u00a330,000 will be match funded, and \u00a330,000 from you, our supporters.<\/h4>\n
