Join Money for Madagascar at one of the world’s most electric, atmospheric half-marathons!
Whether this is your first half marathon or you’re a seasoned pro, put on your trainers for TeamMfM and help make a difference in the lives of some of the poorest communities in the world.
Maria ran the London Marathon in 2021 and raised a fantastic £5k. Are you ready to beat Maria in 2023?
GNR Event Information
Starting in Newcastle, crossing the iconic Tyne Bridge and ending at South Shields coast, this fantastic 13.1-mile route will be filled with musical entertainment, charity cheer buses and thousands of spectators all rooting for you. It’s one not to miss!

Own Place
If you successfully secured your place in the Great North Run ballot and would like to use it to fundraise for us, then you are more than welcome. Please notify us that you have your own place when you contact us, and we will sign you up for our TeamMfM. There is no registration fee or minimum fundraising target. However, you’ll still get the same wonderful support as our charity place runners, and anything you do raise will go to helping Malagasy communities to have a future.

Taking part in the Great North Run means you are part of the team helping us to help more vulnerable people with our Madagascar programmes: Protecting and Enabling Vulnerable Children, Restoring Forests and Resilient Livelihoods and Providing Education for Life in Isolated Rural Schools.
Along the way, we will support you with social media posts, fundraising advice, and a TeamMfM Running Vest or T-shirt.
