Great North Run 2022
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Date: 11th September 2022
Join Money for Madagascar at one of the most electric, atmospheric half marathons in the world! Whether this is your first half marathon, or you’re a seasoned pro, put on your trainers for TeamMfM and help make a difference to lives of some of the poorest communities in the world. Maria ran the London Marathon in 2021 and raised an amazing £5k. Are you the 2022 ‘Maria’?
Starting in Newcastle, crossing the iconic Tyne Bridge and ending at South Shields coast, this fantastic 13.1 mile route will be filled with musical entertainment, charity cheer buses and thousands of spectators all rooting for you. It’s one not to miss.
Securing your place
MfM’s charity places for this 2022’s Great North Run on 11th September, which has a minimum fundraising commitment of £200 in sponsorship, have now been claimed. Our fundraising team is on hand to support you with your fundraising: let us know if you would like to run.
If you were successful in securing your own place in the Great North Run ballot and would like to use it to fundraise for us, then you are more than welcome. Please notify us that you have your own place when you contact us and we will sign you up to our TeamMfM. There is no registration fee or minimum fundraising target, but you’ll still get the same wonderful support as our charity place runners and anything you do raise will go to helping Malagasy communities to have a future.
Why join TeamMfM?
Everyone deserves to live the best life they can and be enabled to feed their children. Taking part in the Great North Run means you are part of the team helping us to help more vulnerable people with our Madagascar programmes: Protecting and Enabling Vulnerable children, Restoring Forests and Resilient Livelihoods and Providing Education for Life in isolated rural schools.
Along the way, we will support you with social media posts and fundraising advice and a TeamMfM Running Vest or T-Shirt.
You can set up a JustGiving page or make a donation by following this link…
You can also support our fantastic runners individually through their own fundraising pages.
