With the help of MfM&#8217;s partner, SAF Toamasina, he has set up a profitable business making and selling worm compost. He and a group of friends collect vegetable waste from the town rubbish heaps and dung from the abattoir, compost it, and add worms. After some weeks they sift out the worms (they go into the next batch of compost) and seal the compost into plastic bags. This compost is in great demand and they can sell it for a good price. MfM believes that the key to lasting change is to empower Malagasy people to find their own solutions to their current challenges.<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"metaslider-id-1831\" style=\"width: 100%; community life orientation<br \/>\n\u2022 Vocational training in food growing, worm-breeding and making recycled fuel pellets<br \/>\n\u2022 Improved diet from food grown by boys in prison yard<br \/>\n\u2022 Workshops for boys and parents to rebuild relationships &amp; prepare for life after prison<br \/>\n\u2022 Training workshops for prison staff &amp; authorities to improve services<br \/>\n\u2022 Start-up grants for boys leaving prison<br \/>\n\u2022 Set up a half-way home for boys leaving prison<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #646839;\">Improving Livelihoods:<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4>SAF Toamasina runs a project to help train and educate local communities to become more self-sufficient and able to adapt to extreme weather events.\u00a0 They provide support in:<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 Training people in resourceful techniques: worm-breeding, soil-less cultivation, recycled fuel pellets<br \/>\n\u2022 Educating people in nutrition for health<br \/>\n\u2022 Training people to grow and use medical plants<br \/>\n\u2022 Making &amp;
