The expert guides from the Guide over Sands Trust plot a safe route across the shifting sands of the bay and lead us from one side to the other.\u00a0 Most of the walk is on sand but there may be channels to wade through up to thigh deep. The walk is usually 7 or 8 miles depending where the sand banks and channels are.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Practicalities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong> &#8211; The guided walk is one-way from Arnside to Grange over Sands.\u00a0 The easiest way to return to the start point is by train, or if it is easier, start your trip by taking the train from Grange over Sands to Arnside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attire &#8211; <\/strong>Wear comfortable clothes and footwear which you don\u2019t mind getting wet \u2013 shorts are ideal if the weather is suitable.
