Money for Madagascar is recruiting a new Chair of Trustees.

Money for Madagascar (MfM) is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and we’re looking for a new Chair of Trustees to help lead us into our next chapter.
MfM works alongside communities in Madagascar to support locally led solutions for a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable future, protecting the island’s unique biodiversity while improving livelihoods and opportunities.
We’re in an exciting and demanding period of transformation. Under CEO Lova Rasoalinoro, we’ve built up leadership in Madagascar and grown annual income to around £1 million in 2025. Now we’re strengthening our governance, moving to a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation structure and expanding our board.

We’re looking for a Chair with an international outlook, someone who can lead the board with inclusion, provide strategic direction, and offer support and challenge to our CEO. The Chair also acts as a spokesperson and ambassador for MfM.

This is a voluntary role (expenses covered), requiring about 2 days a month. Location is flexible, with travel to the UK and Madagascar. English is our working board language; Malagasy or French would be a real asset.

Interested, or know someone who might be?
Email jobs@moneyformadagascar.org for the role description and application pack, or to arrange an informal chat with a trustee or our CEO.

Interviews: Tuesday 22 September 2026.
