Get Involved

Money for Madagascar supports important work in Madagascar. We help motivated Malagasy people to deliver projects, which change lives for the better in vulnerable communities as well as helping to protect Madagascar’s unique and fragile environment. We couldn’t do this without the support of people like YOU! Half of our income comes from grants but the other half is raised by individuals and community groups. We also rely on generous volunteers who give their time to help us get things done.

If you are able to give some time as a volunteer or you want to help us fundraise, have a look at our volunteering opportunities and fundraising ideas.

Below are some ideas for getting involved:

Individual Challenges

Take up the Gauntlet for Money for Madagascar

Why not achieve a personal goal whilst showing your support for Money for Madagascar?

Taking part in a sponsored challenge is a great way to raise money, whilst working towards achieving something you’ve always dreamed of.  From crossing the finish line of a marathon to completing a cross country walk, be sure to pick something that’s achievable and you will enjoy doing – both during training and on the day.

There are also plenty of other sponsored events organised at a local or national level, or you can set up your own personal challenge – there’s some useful websites listed below who can help with ideas, or check out our Fundraising A-Z.

For more information contact our fundraisers on 07956147316 or register your event by clicking here.
They’ll be there to help every step of the way and to congratulate you when you’ve completed your challenge.

Schools and Colleges

Money for Madagascar is supported locally by a number of schools and school groups.  Over the past few years MfM has been very fortunate to be selected by the Lancaster Royal Grammar School as one of their international charities for the Lenten Appeal.  This year they presented us with a cheque for £3600, which will go a long way in Madagascar to support the MfM local programmes.

Quermore School ran a Lemur Bounce in aid of Money for Madagascar and raised an amazing total of over £1200.  Could your school be this years 'hero' and support MfM by holding a lemur bounce.  A Lemur Bounce resource pack is available in the resources area of the website.

Has your school visited the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis yet.  Money for Madagascar has partnered with the Wildlife Oasis to provide educational activities and for the children to see some exotic and endangered species.  Why not arrange a visit now or encourage parents to take their children.
