(English) Making Masks – How Your Appeal Donations Are Working!

Mae’n ddrwg gen i, mae’r cofnod hwn dim ond ar gael mewn English.

Thank you to supporters old and new for your kind donations that are pouring in for our Covid-19 Appeal. With your help we are starting to reach the most vulnerable. Here’s our first update on how your donations are making a difference…

Masks in Madagascar are difficult to get hold of and hard to afford. So teenage girls and graduates from Akany Avoko children’s centre are busy sewing hundreds of washable face masks. MfM is placing bulk orders to make masks available to our projects, so we can protect our most vulnerable kids, as well as the staff at our projects.

These washable masks have many advantages… as well as being economic and better for the environment, they are also creating much needed paid work for the oldest students at Akany Avoko and for some AAA graduates. With food prices rocketing and work limited by lock-down, the safe job of sewing masks is a life-saver in more ways than one.
Distribution of these masks is one of the things funded by the MfM APPEAL.

Details of more activities funded by your donations will follow soon. To donate or find more information about our Madagascar Covid-19 Appeal, go to the MfM website https://moneyformadagascar.org/covid-19-appeal/
Thank you so much for you solidarity. Irenee
